Privacy Policy
We use the information you provide to deliver requested content, review your funding profile, and contact you when you ask us to. We do not send your funding profile to a lender or other funding partner unless you separately give explicit permission for that introduction. You may withdraw permission or request deletion at any time.
This Privacy Policy explains how Big Brain Funding, a service operated byLatam Resource Group LLC ("Big Brain Funding," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and retains information throughbigbrainfunding.com and related communications.
1. Who we are
Big Brain Funding provides education, business funding research, preliminary funding profile reviews, and introductions that a business owner may authorize. We are not a lender, bank, broker of record, investment adviser, CPA firm, tax preparer, or law firm. We do not make credit decisions or fund transactions.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:

We do not ask for your Social Security number, online banking credentials, or full bank account number through the website. Please do not submit that information through a site form or ordinary email. Your credit range is self-reported. Completing a profile does not create a credit inquiry.
3. How we use information
- Provide the page, directory, screener, waitlist, review, or profile you requested.
- Review your business information and prepare a preliminary funding profile.
- Contact you about your request when you have authorized us to do so.
- Make a partner introduction after obtaining separate, explicit permission.
- Moderate, verify, and publish reviews without publishing the reviewer's email address.
- Operate, troubleshoot, secure, analyze, and improve the website and our services.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Comply with legal obligations and preserve records needed to demonstrate consent.
Automated tools may help organize information, but a funding profile is not an approval, underwriting decision, rate quote, or offer of financing.
4. When we share information
Service providers
We disclose information to vendors that help us host the website, process forms, deliver communications, secure systems, and maintain business records. They may use information only to provide services to us or as permitted by their contracts and applicable law. Website forms are currently processed and stored through Netlify.
Funding and professional partners
Submitting a funding profile authorizes Big Brain Funding to review and respond to it. It does not, by itself, authorize a partner to contact you.
We may share your contact and qualification information with a partner only after you separately give explicit permission for the introduction. The disclosure shown when we request permission will identify the intended partner or partners and the permitted contact methods. Once a partner receives information, its own privacy policy and terms govern its handling of that information.
Depending on your request, partner categories may include:
- Banks, credit unions, SBA lenders, and community development lenders.
- Nonbank business lenders and commercial finance companies.
- Business funding brokers and referral partners.
- Equipment, real estate, working capital, and acquisition finance providers.
- Licensed tax, accounting, or other professional service providers.
- Business acquisition firms, investors, or transaction professionals when you expressly request that type of introduction.
Legal and business events
We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, systems, and users. If the business is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
5. Compensation and sale or sharing disclosures
Big Brain Funding may receive compensation from a partner for an authorized introduction or completed transaction. We do not charge you for submitting a profile. Under some state privacy laws, disclosing personal information to a partner in connection with compensation may be considered a "sale" or "sharing," even when no money is paid specifically for the information.
We do not make that disclosure without your explicit permission. You may also direct us not to sell or share your personal information by emailing us with the subjectDo Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information belonging to anyone under 16.
6. Cookies and analytics
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral advertising pixels. The site and its hosting provider may use essential technologies and server logs needed to deliver pages, process forms, maintain security, prevent abuse, and remember technical preferences. Interactive screeners may temporarily hold your answers in the browser while you use the page.
We count visits to our Case Files pages, clicks on their funding profile button, and when the funding profile is started or sent, using our own counter. It sets no cookies and does not record your IP address, device, or any identifier. Each count stores only the type of event, the page or campaign label, and the date. Your browser keeps a temporary note for the open tab so the same visit is not counted twice; it is cleared when you close the tab.
If we add third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or other nonessential tracking, we will update this policy and provide any notice or choice required by law.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here:
- Funding requests, partner permissions, and related consent records are normally retained for up to five years after the last interaction, unless a longer period is required for a dispute or legal obligation.
- Waitlist and marketing records are kept until you unsubscribe, the stated purpose ends, or the record is no longer useful.
- Published reviews may remain available until removed. Verification records are normally retained for up to five years.
- Security and technical logs follow our service providers' operational retention schedules and are kept only as needed for security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.
We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed. You may request deletion earlier. We may retain a limited record when necessary to honor an opt-out, document consent or withdrawal, resolve a dispute, prevent fraud, or comply with law. Instructions are on ourData Deletion page.
8. Your state privacy rights
Depending on your state and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information.
- Access and obtain a portable copy of your information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete information.
- Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.
- Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information.
- Appeal a decision on your privacy request.
- Exercise your rights without unlawful discrimination.
To exercise a right, email us using the address below and identify the request in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity by matching information already associated with your submission. An authorized agent may submit a request where state law permits it, but we may require proof of authority and direct identity verification. We aim to respond within 45 days or the period required by applicable law. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying with the subject Privacy Appeal.
We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
9. Communications and your choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link provided in the message or by contacting us. You may ask us not to call or email you at any time. Transactional messages needed to respond to a request may continue where permitted by law. If you authorized a partner introduction, contact that partner directly to stop its communications and notify us so we can update our records.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. The site uses HTTPS in transit. No system, transmission, or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children and external links
The site is intended for adults acting for businesses. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. The site may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, vendors, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and change the effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
